Gold for the Golden Age

Coxe Advisors' June 2010 economic update for BMO Capital Markets is a lengthy 53 pages, but contains the best description of the current state of the Gold market I've seen (starting on page 32).

Zero Hedge has posted that section as: Don Coxe Dissects Gold.

The longest-established text-based religion in the West is about the God of Jacob—His works and His worship. For roughly five thousand years, a believer summed up his credo by saying, ‘I believe in God.’

But when this credo arrived, it had to share space with an alternative belief system that was around for thousands of years before the Judaeo-Christian era began. A believer in this system summed it up, ‘I believe in Gold.’

The following event he describes also set off bells and whistles for me when it happened.

We think that future historians may well report that the moment when gold once again became a store of value was when the dollar began soaring in response to the stench of seared Greece—and gold climbed right along with it. The asset classes that have been inversely correlated since Keynes’s time suddenly united.

The conclusion is as follows.

What we believe is unfolding is a rush into gold by individual investors who look at the astronomic growth in financial derivatives—particularly collateralized debt swaps—and government deficits at a time when the effects of demographic collapse are finally being understood. According to some guesstimates we have heard, the supply of outstanding financial derivatives may be in the $70 trillion range, dwarfing the combined value of money supplies and debts. The total value of gold is so minuscule in comparison to the supply of these software-spawned instruments that it cannot be any real help in stabilizing global finances—but it can be a haven for investors seeking to protect themselves against an implosion of majestic proportions.

In addition to Don Coxe, I would also recommend you read Mike Shedlock's daily blog.

Finally, even mainstream media in the form of The New York Times is acknowledging Uncertainty Restores Glitter to an Old Refuge, Gold.

So aside from buying gold coins and bars which you hide in some secret location (NOT at a bank), I would recommend the Sprott Physical Gold Trust. The Gold is stored at the Royal Canadian Mint (not at a bank), and the Trust Units are directly convertible to Gold (in case currencies have become worthless).

Update on April 16, 2012: The Royal Canadian Mint has now introduced Exchange Traded Receipts which are perhaps even better than the Sprott Physical Gold Trust.

New Foundation for Currencies

In Matthew's description of the Golden Age from December 2007 he says:

The “new” foundation for currencies will be a return to an old one, where precious metals was a set standard for exchange, and “old fashioned” bartering once again will be an excellent way for nations and communities to conduct some business.

In Sheldan Nidle's update on June 22, 2010 from the High Councils of Sirius B (to use the Founder's terminology) they talk about zero-point energy which I'll discuss in detail later, but for this post they also talk about the coming economic collapse:

The Federal Reserve is bankrupt and the European allies of this once formidable juggernaut are not far behind. The system is collapsing internally, and soon this will become all too public.

Here it sounds like they are referring to the recent G8 and G20 meetings in Canada, with a major collapse coming soon afterward.

Currently, a number of moves are underway. First, the cabal has convened several international financial conferences to discuss what can be done about the immensity of the global financial crisis. These conferences have either failed or are doomed to. Second, the dark has had its mainstream media convince many that the economic problems are merely a "deep recession" and that you are close to turning this around. Nothing could be further from the truth, and the dark has no idea how to wriggle its way out of this. For their part, our Earth allies are quite close to toppling the monster core of this disaster: the US Federal Reserve "Bank." This illegal behemoth is bankrupt and swiftly running out of schemes by which to keep afloat; hence, its total collapse is imminent. The Bank of England and its partners-in-crime in "the City" are likewise about to go belly up. Similarly, many other allied banks are ready to succumb to a massive extinction.

Finally they say a new financial system will be born based on precious metals.

The change to precious-metals-based currencies is at the heart of the new system which reflects the new realities of the post-Cold War world.

This is essentially the same as what Matthew said almost three years ago, but now the signs are clear that these changes may be close at hand. Both Gold and Silver have been setting record highs in recent weeks, but the currency of choice for most is Gold, which I'll discuss further in my next post.

Lord Krishna on the Golden Age

In the Brahma-Vaivarta Purana, Lord Krishna tells Ganga Devi that a Golden Age will come in the Kali Yuga. Lord Krishna predicted that this Golden Age will start 5,000 years after the beginning of the Kali Yuga, and will last for 10,000 years. We are currently just over 5,000 years into Kali Yuga, so this Golden Age is due to begin at any time.

Krishna's prediction:

Materializing a Palace in the Himalayas

This is the third in my series of posts on "Autobiography of a Yogi". The previous two posts are:

Rather than quoting the miracle described in the title of this chapter, I will instead highlight the much more important message given at the end. The quote below begins with Lahiri Mahasaya speaking.

Chapter 34: Materializing a Palace in the Himalayas

'My son,' Babaji said, embracing me, 'your role in this incarnation must be played on an outward stage. Prenatally blessed by many lives of lonely meditation, you must now mingle in the world of men.

'A deep purpose underlay the fact that you did not meet me this time until you were already a married man, with modest business responsibilities. You must put aside your thoughts of joining our secret band in the Himalayas; your life lies in the crowded marts, serving as an example of the ideal yogi-householder.

'The cries of many bewildered worldly men and women have not fallen unheard on the ears of the Great Ones,' he went on. 'You have been chosen to bring spiritual solace through KRIYA YOGA to numerous earnest seekers. The millions who are encumbered by family ties and heavy worldly duties will take new heart from you, a householder like themselves. You must guide them to see that the highest yogic attainments are not barred to the family man. Even in the world, the yogi who faithfully discharges his responsibilities, without personal motive or attachment, treads the sure path of enlightenment.

'No necessity compels you to leave the world, for inwardly you have already sundered its every karmic tie. Not of this world, you must yet be in it. Many years still remain during which you must conscientiously fulfill your family, business, civic, and spiritual duties. A sweet new breath of divine hope will penetrate the arid hearts of worldly men. From your balanced life, they will understand that liberation is dependent on inner, rather than outer, renunciations.'

How remote seemed my family, the office, the world, as I listened to my guru in the high Himalayan solitudes. Yet adamantine truth rang in his words; I submissively agreed to leave this blessed haven of peace. Babaji instructed me in the ancient rigid rules which govern the transmission of the yogic art from guru to disciple.

'Bestow the KRIYA key only on qualified chelas,' Babaji said. 'He who vows to sacrifice all in the quest of the Divine is fit to unravel the final mysteries of life through the science of meditation.'

'Angelic guru, as you have already favored mankind by resurrecting the lost KRIYA art, will you not increase that benefit by relaxing the strict requirements for discipleship?' I gazed beseechingly at Babaji. 'I pray that you permit me to communicate KRIYA to all seekers, even though at first they cannot vow themselves to complete inner renunciation. The tortured men and women of the world, pursued by the threefold suffering, need special encouragement. They may never attempt the road to freedom if KRIYA initiation be withheld from them.'

'Be it so. The divine wish has been expressed through you.' With these simple words, the merciful guru banished the rigorous safeguards that for ages had hidden KRIYA from the world. 'Give KRIYA freely to all who humbly ask for help.'

I hope this has dispelled any doubts of whether Kriya Yoga is for you. It is for all, and for my presentation of the practices, please download my online course.

Babaji, the Yogi of Modern India

This is the second in my series of posts on "Autobiography of a Yogi". The first post was on The Science of Kriya Yoga.

Chapter 33: Babaji, the Yogi of Modern India

Babaji's mission in India has been to assist prophets in carrying out their special dispensations. He thus qualifies for the scriptural classification of MAHAVATAR (Great Avatar). He has stated that he gave yoga initiation to Shankara, ancient founder of the Swami Order, and to Kabir, famous medieval saint. His chief nineteenth-century disciple was, as we know, Lahiri Mahasaya, revivalist of the lost KRIYA art.

The MAHAVATAR is in constant communion with Christ; together they send out vibrations of redemption, and have planned the spiritual technique of salvation for this age. The work of these two fully-illumined masters-one with the body, and one without it-is to inspire the nations to forsake suicidal wars, race hatreds, religious sectarianism, and the boomerang-evils of materialism. Babaji is well aware of the trend of modern times, especially of the influence and complexities of Western civilization, and realizes the necessity of spreading the self-liberations of yoga equally in the West and in the East.

The Founders are in full agreement regarding the cooperation between the higher density beings in assisting our journey to the Golden Age. Below is one of my favorite stories of Babaji.

On another occasion Babaji's sacred circle was disturbed by the arrival of a stranger. He had climbed with astonishing skill to the nearly inaccessible ledge near the camp of the master.

'Sir, you must be the great Babaji.' The man's face was lit with inexpressible reverence. 'For months I have pursued a ceaseless search for you among these forbidding crags. I implore you to accept me as a disciple.'

When the great guru made no response, the man pointed to the rocky chasm at his feet.

'If you refuse me, I will jump from this mountain. Life has no further value if I cannot win your guidance to the Divine.'

'Jump then,' Babaji said unemotionally. 'I cannot accept you in your present state of development.'

The man immediately hurled himself over the cliff. Babaji instructed the shocked disciples to fetch the stranger's body. When they returned with the mangled form, the master placed his divine hand on the dead man. Lo! he opened his eyes and prostrated himself humbly before the omnipotent one.

'You are now ready for discipleship.' Babaji beamed lovingly on his resurrected chela. 'You have courageously passed a difficult test. Death shall not touch you again; now you are one of our immortal flock.' Then he spoke his usual words of departure, 'DERA DANDA UTHAO'; the whole group vanished from the mountain.

The following conversation between Babaji and his sister Mataji is also a good one.

'Blessed sister,' Babaji said, 'I am intending to shed my form and plunge into the Infinite Current.'

'I have already glimpsed your plan, beloved master. I wanted to discuss it with you tonight. Why should you leave your body?' The glorious woman looked at him beseechingly.

'What is the difference if I wear a visible or invisible wave on the ocean of my Spirit?'

Mataji replied with a quaint flash of wit. 'Deathless guru, if it makes no difference, then please do not ever relinquish your form.'

'Be it so,' Babaji said solemnly. 'I will never leave my physical body. It will always remain visible to at least a small number of people on this earth. The Lord has spoken His own wish through your lips.'

These two stories provide a good example of what a 9D Avatar is capable of, and from our limited point of view, that is pretty much anything!

The Science of Kriya Yoga

The book "Autobiography of a Yogi" is an excellent source of information for both Kriya Yoga and Avatar Babaji.

Using the available online version of the book, I'll go over some of the most important chapters in my next few posts.

Chapter 26: The Science of Kriya Yoga

KRIYA YOGA is a simple, psychophysiological method by which the human blood is decarbonized and recharged with oxygen. The atoms of this extra oxygen are transmuted into life current to rejuvenate the brain and spinal centers. By stopping the accumulation of venous blood, the yogi is able to lessen or prevent the decay of tissues; the advanced yogi transmutes his cells into pure energy. Elijah, Jesus, Kabir and other prophets were past masters in the use of KRIYA or a similar technique, by which they caused their bodies to dematerialize at will.

KRIYA is an ancient science. Lahiri Mahasaya received it from his guru, Babaji, who rediscovered and clarified the technique after it had been lost in the Dark Ages.

"The KRIYA YOGA which I am giving to the world through you in this nineteenth century," Babaji told Lahiri Mahasaya, "is a revival of the same science which Krishna gave, millenniums ago, to Arjuna, and which was later known to Patanjali, and to Christ, St. John, St. Paul, and other disciples."

Here Babaji credits Lord Krishna as originating Kriya Yoga. Lord Krishna has also given a prophesy regarding the Golden Age, which I'll cover in a future post.

"KRIYA YOGA is an instrument through which human evolution can be quickened," Sri Yukteswar explained to his students. "The ancient yogis discovered that the secret of cosmic consciousness is intimately linked with breath mastery. This is India's unique and deathless contribution to the world's treasury of knowledge. The life force, which is ordinarily absorbed in maintaining the heart-pump, must be freed for higher activities by a method of calming and stilling the ceaseless demands of the breath."

The KRIYA YOGI mentally directs his life energy to revolve, upward and downward, around the six spinal centers (medullary, cervical, dorsal, lumbar, sacral, and coccygeal plexuses) which correspond to the twelve astral signs of the zodiac, the symbolic Cosmic Man. One-half minute of revolution of energy around the sensitive spinal cord of man effects subtle progress in his evolution; that half-minute of KRIYA equals one year of natural spiritual unfoldment.

The astral system of a human being, with six (twelve by polarity) inner constellations revolving around the sun of the omniscient spiritual eye, is interrelated with the physical sun and the twelve zodiacal signs. All men are thus affected by an inner and an outer universe. The ancient rishis discovered that man's earthly and heavenly environment, in twelve-year cycles, push him forward on his natural path. The scriptures aver that man requires a million years of normal, diseaseless evolution to perfect his human brain sufficiently to express cosmic consciousness.

One thousand KRIYA practiced in eight hours gives the yogi, in one day, the equivalent of one thousand years of natural evolution: 365,000 years of evolution in one year. In three years, a KRIYA YOGI can thus accomplish by intelligent self-effort the same result which nature brings to pass in a million years.

If you are interested in pursuing Kriya Yoga and benefiting from the rapid spiritual progress it provides, I recommend downloading my online course.

I would also like to take a moment to highlight the mention of "the ancient Rishis". These are the Rishis who produced the original Sanskrit scriptures thousands of years ago. They are still here today operating from the spiritual realms and providing guidance on 2012 and the Golden Age. I'll discuss this in a future post.

Avatars and ETs

In order to understand Avatars and ETs some background information is required. All of what follows has been extracted from the Founders book "Earth Changes and 2012: Messages From the Founders". In there, the Founders divide the universe into 12 levels of consciousness. The word "density" is used when referring to these levels. I will abbreviate this as 1D, 2D, 3D, 4D, etc. The word "dimension" is also used since each level of consciousness also exists in a different dimension, but this is confusing for most. In this usage "dimension" does not refer to spacial dimensions (line, plane, space, etc.) but to parallel realities. I'll explain this in more detail later, but for now here are the "densities" very briefly:

  • 1D Mineral Kingdom (non-living matter)
  • 2D Plant Kingdom
  • 3D Animal Kingdom (including humans)
  • 4D Advanced Humans (perfect health, all loving)
  • 5D Ascended Humans (immortal light beings)
  • 6D/7D Humans (pinnacle of the individual soul)
  • 8D Oversoul (able to create up to 12 7D souls)
  • 9D/10D/11D (advanced design and creation ability)
  • 12D (able to create entire universes, design life forms, spiritual laws, anything - perhaps even create something more beautiful or spectacular than God himself)

Many people believe that only up to 3D exists, some believe in 3D plus God, but according to the Founders, there is a huge hierarchy of beings (Avatars and ETs) involved with the design and creation of this universe. In terms of the hierarchy of beings directly involved with the Earth, here is a partial list:

  • Alcyone High Councils (9D)
  • Great White Brotherhood (8D)
  • Ashtar Command (7D)
  • Andromedan Councils (7D to 9D)
  • Draco High Councils (7D)
  • Arcturians (5D to 9D)
  • Angelic Orders of Elohim and Metatron (7D to 8D)
  • Orders of Enoch and Melchizedek (7D to 9D)
  • Order of Isis and Sirus A and B High Councils (8D)
  • Order of Thoth (7D)
  • Lord Krishna (10D) - from "Soul Integration"
  • Lord Sananda - Oversoul of Jesus (8D)
  • Lord Buddha Oversoul (8D)
  • The Seven Archangels (8D)
  • Avatar Babaji (9D)

My primary purpose with all of this is to give you a context for understanding the last being that I listed: Avatar Babaji. An Avatar is a higher density being in a physical human form. Communication with 5D+ beings is usually done through channeling, however, a higher density being may choose to manifest or be born into a physical human body for more direct communication. These beings are known as Avatars.

The Founders state that there are usually around 100 Avatars on Earth at any given time, and give one example of such an Avatar: Babaji.

Over the last 100 years, there have been numerous reports of Babaji materializing various bodies just long enough to bring through sacred teachings, such as Kriya Yoga. Babaji is a 9th density being from the Central Sun of the galaxy working in alliance with the brotherhoods (and sisterhoods) of Light.

Some of the best stories of Babaji can be found in "Autobiography of a Yogi" which I'll cover in my next few posts.

Yamas and Niyamas

The Yamas and Niyamas are not included in the teachings of Swami Satyananda, and my Uncle Niraj questioned the soundness of this approach. Our discussion in the comments of my previous post are reproduced below.

Uncle Niraj wrote:

I agree with much of what you have written in your blog. You are correct in saying the key steps in yoga practice are pratiyahar, dharana and dhyana.

However, the foundational practices are even more important; you cannot build a house without a strong foundation -it will not withstand the winds and the elements.

Hence we have the eight-fold path of yoga:
Yama, Niyama, Asana, Pranayama,Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi.

In fact, I personally believe that yama(observances/attitudes) and niyama (disciplines) are the most important; you get these right & you do all your duties and all the other steps just flow naturally. After all, we all exercize, we all breathe, we all have moments of withdrawal, concentration, meditation and glimpses of the higher states of consciousness.

Practising the eight-fold path of yoga just accelerates all of these activities, saving time and effort.

Manoj replied:

Thanks for the excellent comment!

Have you seen the film "Life is Beautiful" with Roberto Benigni? In that film he lies to his son constantly, which would seem to go against the yama of truthfulness, but in this case, constant lying was the yogic path in my opinion.

Similar examples can be given for all of the yamas and niyamas, which makes them quite useless in my opinion, or even harmful when people are led to believe Roberto acted wrongly.

There is only one thing you need to know: perfect thought, word and action have their "foundation" in selfless love, which Roberto depicted beautifully.

Uncle Niraj replied:

Manoj
Thanks for your comment - it is very perceptive.

However, a note of clarification. The yama of truthfulness, in my opinion, really means following/seeking the truth; that is the essence. Or rather, discarding what is false.

You are right - selfless love is most important.

Also the yamas and niyamas are not a rigid set of rules to be followed blindly. They have to be tempered with discrimination and wisdom.

Manoj replied:

So I would agree that seeking the truth is a valid reason for practicing yoga, but I don't know anyone who would say that is what the yama of satya refers to.

Wikipedia has the following definition, which is much more widely agreed to.

Satya (सत्य): truthfulness, word and thought in conformity with the facts.

You also say the yamas and niyamas are not a rigid set of rules. Well they certainly look like a rigid set of rules. Most yoga schools that have incorporated them have done so by making them a rigid set of rules.

If you now say they are not a rigid set of rules, then again, they are misleading and ultimately harmful.

Finally, you say discrimination and wisdom is required. How does one develop discrimination and wisdom? This is solely achieved through the awakening of the chakras. A person with all of his chakras fully closed has no discrimination and wisdom while a person with his chakras and kundalini fully awakened has a very high level of discrimination and wisdom.

The process of awakening the chakras and kundalini involves very simple and easy to understand steps that can be performed by anybody using their physical body, their breath and their mind, where room for misunderstanding is very small.

All the yamas and niyamas do is take a simple process and make it complicated, misleading and harmful for no reason whatsoever as far as I can tell. Many yoga schools are considered cults because they force their students to adhere to these rigid rules leaving many mentally and emotionally scared for life.

In my opinion, the evidence that they are harmful far outweighs any value that they may have. The truth is inside you.

I will finish our debate with a quote from God:

If you want to know what's true for you about something, look to how you're feeling about it.

Feelings are often difficult to discover - and often even more difficult to acknowledge. Yet hidden in your deepest feelings is your highest truth.
